Journey to Warmth

The tears were

a cascading waterfall,

spilling like

acid rain on concrete.

Each drop was a memory

set in stone,

bringing painful recollections

to the surface.

One thousand tears shed

from a cold embrace,

a poison touch

with needles.

The longing of

a sunny day,

the warmth of

a new start,

and perhaps the

touch of love on a cold heart.

A slow descent

towards warmth,

In another day

Safety and calm.
