Uneasy Shadows part 5- The Darkness Within
Black.
Pure black and fear.
I'm knocking on the door. He is not answering. A second after I knocked, I heard a sickening thud.
Had he fallen and passed out? Thoughts swam through the ocean of my mind, bouncing off the crevices of a forgotten time. He must have forgotten his medicine.
His medicine...
Alarm, panic - the fleshy tablet in my chest is springing forth and bounding away.
What if he hadn't taken his medicine?
I hear a groan. My eyes bulge from their sockets. There is a lump the size of a coal in my throat. I run and run.
I wake up. Or do I? Everything is still black. I shakily open the door and see nothing but black. I hear nothing. I cry.
My vision comes back. There is no one at the door.
I'm going insane
